Magical Birthday

Today's card was created for my niece, Lucy. She's a sweet little girl who loves pink and princesses, so this card should be absolutely perfect for her!

This card was actually pretty simple to create even though it looks complicated. I started by stamping my images with my MISTI and then coloring them in with my Copics. I used my Brother Scan N Cut 2 to cut them out (I am the queen of lazy after all).

I cut and folded a pink card base and then cut a panel of white cardstock to cover the entire front. I used my Stitched Triple Peek-a-Boo Window Edge die to cut the white piece down all in one pass through my die cut machine. It's all one piece so no guessing as to where everything needs to go. It seriously made this whole thing super simple.

I laid out my pieces on top of my card base where I wanted them to go and then used a piece of Press N Seal to keep them in place while I added foam tape over the back of the whole thing. I removed the Press N Seal from the front and then adhered the whole piece down to the card base. Another tip to make things easier for you!

Last of all was my sentiment. I found a piece of darker pink cardstock in my scrap pile, so I heat embossed the sentiment onto it using white powder. I used a little bit of foam tape and a glue runner to adhere it in place.

To add a bit of shine, I used my clear Wink of Stella glitter pen to add some shimmer to each of my images - the wings of the dragon, the princess's crown, and the horn and hooves on my unicorn.

That's all for today! Thanks for stopping by!
